The celebrated American singer and songwriter Beyoncé Knowles will be making a special appearance this holiday season.

The 32-time Grammy winner will perform during Netflix’s first-ever NFL (National Football League) Christmas Gameday live on the streaming giant.

“The performance will take place during the second of Netflix’s two games, as the Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens at NRG Stadium at 4:30 PM ET,” a press statement by Netflix reads in part.

It adds that the act in her hometown of Houston, Texas, produced by her company, Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment, will be the first live performance of songs from her genre-bending and record-breaking Cowboy Carter album.

The iconic singer has had electrifying appearances for the NFL before- having performed at two Super Bowl games.

Netflix notes: “She headlined Super Bowl XLVII on February 3, 2013, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was joined onstage by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, her bandmates in Destiny’s Child. The performance became the second most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in history at the time.”

“For Super Bowl L, on February 7, 2016, she joined Coldplay and Bruno Mars in Santa Clara, California for one of the most-watched Super Bowl halftime shows with 115.5 million tuned in to get in ‘Formation.’”

This is expected to kick off a new Christmas tradition as the streaming platform has announced NFL games for 2025 and 2026.

BBC reports on the massive success of the star’s country album.

“The album [Cowboy Carter], which includes duets with Miley Cyrus and Post Malone, leans into the country genre and is the second of a planned trilogy that started with Renaissance. It is nominated for Album of the Year at 2025’s Grammy Awards, where Beyoncé’s up for a further 10 trophies including best country album and song of the year for Texas Hold ‘Em.”
