Celebrated American rapper Offset dropped the official visuals for his single Swing My Way on YouTube December 13.
The video stars supermodel Anok Yai, who is beloved for her stunning looks and impact on the fashion industry.
Billboard describes the clip’s release as “closing 2024 on a high end” for the former Migos rapper, noting that the Turbo-produced track hit streaming services alongside the accompanying opulent music video, which is directed by Kid Art.
“Shot in Brooklyn and Miami, Offset enlists supermodel Anok Yai as his love interest in the “Swing My Way” visual as he looks to entice her to join him for the night.”
The report adds: “[He] flexes his fashion prowess with a voguish taste while also showing off his fleet of Tesla Cybertrucks and pricy collection of flashy jewelry.”
Offset described working with Anok as a great experience, praising their synergy in the project.
“We matched each other’s vibe and style. This is one of my favorite cover artworks. I’m looking forward to sharing the new song and video I created with Anok,” he told Paper Magazine ahead of the release.
The magazine reports on how the rapper has dived into the fashion scene over the years.
“The collaboration with the supermodel is just one of many recent ventures into the fashion world for Offset. In September, he kicked off New York Fashion Week by joining Anna Wintour for a ribbon-cutting ceremony as CFDA’s celebrity ambassador,” the report notes, adding, “He also walked for Luar and Melitta Baumeister.”
Anok has had a massively successful year herself, and has taken on the runways of Versace, Louis Vuitton and Fendi by a storm.
