Lebron James, Hennessy unveil new collaboration

American professional basketball player Lebron James has partnered with Hennessy to launch a collection that is now available globally.

This is the first partnership between the basketball legend and the renowned cognac brand, which consistently teams up with high profile personalities.

“This collaboration between Hennessy and LeBron James unites two giants in their respective fields with the desire to energize and bring an unexpected twist to fans and the industry alike,” a press statement reads in part.

“Their mutual respect and shared drive for excellence, cultural influence, and pushing boundaries make this partnership a real tribute to the pursuit of greatness.”

The limited-edition bottles feature fresh, vibrant, distinctive designs that nod to LeBron’s impact on and off the court. Both the bottle and the gift box feature an illustrative portrait of the legend in purple and orange. The iconic Hennessy Bras Armé is reimagined, sporting a sleeve as a tribute to LeBron and intertwined with his trademark crown.

Lebron said: “As an admirer of Hennessy and its iconic brand, I’ve always appreciated its commitment to basketball and how it celebrates the sport’s influence on and off the court.”

 “I was fortunate enough to visit the Maison in Cognac a while back, and seeing the care and craftsmanship that go into creating each bottle was pretty incredible. This collaboration represents a shared sense of dedication and discovery coming to life for everyone to enjoy.”

In April, Hennessy partnered up with the American actress and singer Teyana Taylor as well as breakthrough British Nigerian actor Damson Idris.

A statement at the time read: “Exploring the infinite possibilities the versatile spirit offers, the campaign features five off-beat mixing films and five cocktails, showing how any drink or occasion can easily be made ‘more’ when you add Hennessy.”

“Hennessy is known to partner with cultural icons and characters to personify the multi-faceted nature of the brand.”
