Celebrated Nigerian star Rema has landed in the country ahead of his concert set for September 28.
The Calm Down singer travelled in luxury, flying in on a private jet.
He had a warm welcome at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport, where he was seen in all black, receiving a bouquet of flowers and a Kenyan flag.
The 24-year-old artiste is in the country for the highly anticipated Walker Town concert set for September 28th and 29th at the Laureate Gardens, Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.
He will headline the show on day one of the event, sharing the stage with celebrated British rapper ArrDee and Kenya’s beloved singer Bien Aime Baraza.
“The entertainment scene will be much bigger and more electrifying with Nigerian Afrobeats sensation REMAheadlining the day one performance. His performance promises a musical journey that will keep the energy soaring throughout the weekend. “I feel really amazing, and first I want to thank God for his grace. In a year I have made such an effect on the game and on Afrobeat as a whole, and it’s really huge. Seeing how far I’ve one in these 11 months is like the tip of the iceberg in what I will achieve in 2 years, three years and longer; it’s mind-blowing to see what I will achieve,” Rema told Capital Xtra in a 2020 interview.
