The popular YouTube couple Miss Trudy and Wode Maya are marking a major milestone in their marriage, their second anniversary.
And even though naysayers on the internet speculated on a break up less than a month ago, the two are still going strong, per the recent activity on their respective social media accounts.
Miss Trudy took to Instagram to post an adorable picture sharing a kiss with her husband, writing on the caption: “Today marks two years of marriage with my bestie! Life wouldn’t be the same without you. Happy anniversary to us!”
On the comment section, Wode Maya poked fun at those who thought their relationship would not survive.
“I thought they are divorced. Oh it’s their anniversary? Wow! Love you forever babe. Happy Anniversary to us.”
Fans also celebrated the confirmation that all is well between the pair.
Like one Derick Murithi who wrote: “Nimelia sana, nimedhani mmeachana (I cried a lot thinking you had split up). Happy anniversary though.”
Another wrote: “Thanks for cooling down that too much mudomo mudomo (talk) which has been going on social media!”
Miss Trudy was forced to speak out after word of an impending break up made its rounds on social media in late August.
“The speculation began after Miss Trudy appeared in an interview with a popular Ghanaian content creator. In the interview, she was candid about the challenges in her marriage,” a blog reported at the time.
The report added: “She revealed that she and Wode Maya often struggle to spend enough time together due to their busy travel schedules. This led to online rumours about a potential split.”
Miss Trudy later said that her words were misinterpreted and taken out of context.
“He asked me a couple of questions, and I answered truthfully. For example, he asked me, ‘Do you and Wode Maya spend enough time together?’ And I said no, because that’s the truth,” she said.
“We don’t spend enough time together because he’s always traveling… And I also end up traveling a lot.”
