The popular Kenyan YouTuber Miss Trudy and her Ghanaian husband Wode Maya have relocated to Kenya.
The couple announced the major change in their lives on a YouTube video uploaded on September 29.
At the start of the clip, Trudy revealed that it had been one year since she had been back in her home country.
The content creator then took viewers through her preparations for the trip, including a drive to the airport to follow up on her tickets and then the beauty shop to have her hair and a facial done.
“I’m moving to Kenya. And I’m not just going to visit… like, we are relocating to Kenya,” she said.
Trudy added: “Not just me, but me and Maya. It’s going to be amazing. I know I travel a lot, so I’m going to stay in Kenya for a minute before I start travelling. I’m excited because… it’s home. Ghana is also home, and I love it so much as well… but we’ve decided to go to Kenya and give it a try.”
Miss Trudy noted that one of the most thrilling parts of her return home was that she would finally get to meet her 5-month old niece.
“Here I am, back in Nairobi. Home sweet home.”
“And also… I just miss Kenyan food, like ugali and sukuma. I miss taking rides in matatus– I think I’m going to take rides in matatus for a week straight.”
Miss Trudy has built a brand out of her engaging and relatable travel and lifestyle content after starting her YouTube channel in 2014.
She has over 440,000 thousand subscribers on the platform, and an impressive total view count of over 74 million.
